The Enterprise Storage workgroup has begun initial data migrations to the shared storage array. The workgroup continues to explore options to allow data migrations with low risk of downtime for the agency.
An in-depth analysis has been scheduled for early October for the current Division of Administration environment. This analysis should help us to determine what tools can be used to best help our efforts in seamless data migration to the shared disk array(s). The analysis will be completed at other in-scope agencies if it proves to be a useful tool.
The Enterprise Storage workgroup has also started the task of looking into backup/recovery offerings. The hope will be to find a standard platform for all in-scope agencies to use for their server backup needs.
