The security workgroup is continuing to identify, analyze, update, and develop new enterprise security policies and standards. Current technical security controls throughout the organization are being analyzed to aid in determining any additionally requirements that may be needed as a long term security strategy.
Thus far the workgroup has drafted revisions to two policies: the Electronic Media Sanitation Policy and the Data Sanitization Standard. The workgroup has also drafted a new policy, the Data Classification Policy. The policies will be published once they are finalized and have undergone a review and approval process by Office of Technology Services management.
In addition to revising current and drafting new policies, the workgroup has also inititated development of an Incident Response Policy and Plan.
Finally, the workgroup is also collaborating to address the latest cyber threats facing the enterprise and agencies today.
