Helpdesk Consolidation Workgroup Update – November 5, 2014

The Helpdesk workgroup released a survey for all in scope agencies to obtain information regarding current helpdesk operations. The survey results will be used to further develop plans for consolidation of the helpdesk and desktop support operations. The Helpdesk and Desktop workgroups will begin working together to draft a document that defines the End User Computing Service Level Agreements as well as roles and responsibilities. The draft of the Service Desk software RFP is under review by the workgroups and the Office of Technology Services Project & Portfolio Management section for any changes that need to be made prior to publication. Discussions have begun with Deloitte resources to document the Asset and Configuration Management Database requirements.
