The new consolidated mainframe has arrived at the ISB and is currently being implemented. The larger Department of Children and Family Services mainframe was successfully migrated, and legacy hardware sunset, on September 6, 2014. The larger Division of Administration mainframe is scheduled for migration on September 21, 2014.
The smaller Division of Administration mainframe and the Department of Transportation and Development mainframe will be subsequently migrated at a date and time yet to be determined.
A new consolidated storage system, for the mainframe, has been procured and will arrive on September 23, 2014. This storage hardware will replace existing standalone assets for the Division of Administration, Department of Children and Family Services, and Department of Transportation and Development. Implementation is expected to begin in October.
